Alcohol Return & Refund Policies in Sydney
Most retailers of alcohol in Australia do not allow return of unused bottles because they are unable to guarantee the product has been transported, handled and stored in a way that does not compromise the product's quality. There's also a safety and contamination risk associated with opened products which means they cannot legally be resold.
Dan Murphy does allow return of unused alcohol through their change of mind return policy as long as you have proof of purchase. Bottles must be unopened, unchilled, undamaged, in their original packaging, within their used by or best before date, returned within 90 days and resalable.
