The second is BYO catering venues where you can choose your own suppliers to cater your wedding, and in NSW these venues will usually allow you to bring your own drinks as well.
BYO venues are a great budget-friendly option when you’re looking for opportunities to save on wedding costs. The hire cost of BYO places usually puts them among the most affordable wedding venues in the state and you can then self cater with fun vendors such as mobile bars, food trucks and other wedding caterers.
If you are considering a BYO alcohol venue there are a couple of things you need to know before rushing off to Dan Murphy’s for cheap drinks on your members discount. While the below venues allow you to bring your own alcohol, it is still a requirement that they comply with RSA laws (Responsible Service of Alcohol). This means, you'll need RSA trained & qualified bar staff to serve your drinks.
Instead of having to find & hire your own properly qualified bar staff, many BYO wedding venues make it easier for you by providing a per head service package, the cost of which in New South Wales averages at around $20 per head. With this package you purchase your own alcohol & drinks and the venue employs the legally required ratio of RSA staff to guests (1:30 in NSW) to serve those drinks. Most BYO wedding venues require a minimum of 2 bar staff per event.

Inside the refurbished 140 year old chapel is a light & airy modern space, rich in history and character. Removable pews are available for wedding ceremonies of up to 100 guests and the room can also be set up for micro wedding receptions. One long table can seat 30 with lots of space left over for a lounge and dance floor. Bring your own caterers and there's plenty of parking space for food trucks.
